Regarding the Hand Held device yes they will be walking through the building
using it as a guide. I don't know how likely it is that we can do this, I
can think of problems that might come up. Like the navigation of the image
for example - using fiddly controls on a PDA might not be practical for some
people or if a stilus is used then this is easely lost. We might end up
just using still images for this, but it would be great to try using the VR
images.

for static computers, it's not much different than for what you do on
the web. the key here is to get a bomb-proof kiosk device and put a
self-contained system on a CD-ROM that only lets you do so much. Linux +
Flashpanoramas.com is IMO the easiest way to go.
For the hand held device, I am not sure I understand the need. what will
it be used for? are people going to walk through the building using it
as a guide?
