Subject: Re: Virtual Tour with Audio on a Hand Held device
There is also the Sony PSP which would be a good platform for VR.
During the conference Aldo Hoeben had a PSP running VR he passed
around that would work for your application, big screen, decent
controls.
Email Aldo and investigate that.
You could also do fake VR, convert a VR to linear video and use
with forward and back controls to explore, on an iPod which could
be a good choice.

Regarding the Hand Held device yes they will be walking through
the building
using it as a guide. I don't know how likely it is that we can do
this, I
can think of problems that might come up. Like the navigation of
the image
for example - using fiddly controls on a PDA might not be
practical for some
people or if a stilus is used then this is easely lost. We might
end up
just using still images for this, but it would be great to try
using the VR
images.
