well you'll notice that street view treats each frame as a still image
so loading is slow,
while I treat the 300 or so nodes as a video with frame differencing so
I get a smaller, animated file.
what would be cool is if, when you stopped and panned around,
a high res frame loaded from the server... don't know how that would
work.
(easily if anyone at apple gave a damn. Now they're doing youtube
after years
of slagging it because the quality was too low... I wonder if they're
starting to get
that getting people creating is way more important than the quality
of the early
creations...)
Anyways, osX broke my multi-cam app or I'd have one up for sale since
I get
a request for a multi-vid app at least once a week. If you're
interested in a $99 app
called 'qt-multivid' that lets you store multiple vid-feeds in a
single user defineable frame
drop me a note... porting can't be too hard, I just got tired of
walking sideways any more
with apple... had to go forwards...
