If I understand, that not playing a natif QTVR
but something who are modified by the soft on
computer before loading in the cell ?
Correct, that isn't in fact a QuickTime VR .mov
file at all, it is a panorama prepared for use
with Immervision's Java-based panorama player
engine, the 'PURE Tools' suite.
That software can take a stitched image in
various forms or a ready-made QTVR file and make
its own panorama files from that. Using existing
QTVRs is probably not ideal as that may involve a
second round of JPEG compression, but it is
convenient when that's what's available.
Your cell look verry large what is the model please ?
It is large - ridiculously large for a phone, but
a superb size for a PDA. It is the HTC Athena
(also known as the HTC Advantage), but rebranded
as the T-Mobile Ameo.
As well as the 640x480 touch screen it has an 8GB
microdrive, so it is almost tailor-made for pano
display. But beware: it is a speakerphone, not
something you hold to your ear. For phone calls
you talk *to* it or use an additional wired or
bluetooth headset. If you use your mobile phone a
lot this could be awkward. For me, it is odd but
survivable - especially considering the non-phone
features and now the panorama playback.
