Acrobat Reader or some other Adobe software used to install Adobe Gamma
Loader I think on Windows, which had a wizard for you to adjust your screen
luminocity, contrast and gamma correction value step-by-step (you would look
at some special pictures and start increading/decreasing those settings till
you'd start seeing or stop seeing some parts of the image
