QTVR can pan an arbitrary number of degrees, but unfortunately will only
wrap (and will ALWAYS wrap) around at 360.
I have been asking this here before, but have not found an answer to it
yet. So what better opportunity to ask "The QTVRS Man".
Neither do I own nore have I worked with QTVRS. I have done several 360
lineups in photoshop and display them with Java, DevalVR or Qt. Of course
all lineups are wraped in one sphere (one wrap of 360), but the projection
changes with it as well with this method. The more extentions of 360s in
the source the flatter it is projected.
When I saw this 4seasons pano from Eric the question came up of how is
QTRVS doing this. 4 and and bit times 360 in one source pano wraped 360
and still perspectively correct (cylindrical) projected to each 360 sphere?
This movie from Eric had one source pano and the normal tracks accordingly
as every other cylindrical qtvr.
Hope you can shed some light on this for me.
Have a great day.
Cheers, Milko
