QTVR object movies from the command line?

I've identifed a few methods for generating Quicktime linear video sequences from the command line, but I'm struggling to find a way to either generate Quicktime VR objects directly from individual frames (from the command line) or to simply change an existing linear movie to a VR object from the command line.

Any suggestions?

Ultimately, am looking for a way to generate QTVR objects from a set of JPEGs using only tools I can run from the shell (and without GUIs).

Similarly, looking for the best options for generating a QTVR cubic panorama from a shell, given an equirectangular or a set of cube faces...

Thanks for any thoughts,

R
