Yesterday I shot a partial panorama time lapse movie, then encoded in
H.264 in two sizes for those interested in experimenting with such
things. You can check them out here:
This was shot using a Panoscan MK3 camera w/ Mamiya 35mm lens.
Original as-shot resolution was 3000 vertical pixels (a bit off the
bottom was then cropped to give more focus to the cloud movement).
Pan was about 170(?) degrees. About one shot approx every 30 seconds
for about an hour and a half. Images were then resized for the above
movies.
There was a bit a camera movement that can be seen in the image.
Perhaps more weight on the tripod and fewer cars going across the
bridge I was on would have helped improve that! :) Any ideas for auto
image alignment in these circumstances? Seems there are a few issues
with H.264 gamma appearing different depending on what is used to
view the movie. This is my first bit of video like this so I don't
know what to do about that issue presently :(
