QuickTime & Java Plugin Detection for IE 7

I've been trying to find ways of doing plugin detection that will be compatible with IE 7, in the hope that no yellow info bar popups occur.

It's alot more difficult to do plugin detection for QuickTime & Java now, because ActiveX controls are not permitted by default in IE 7, except for a few pre-approved ActiveX controls.

If you click on the yellow info bar when it pops up, then it will never return when that particular ActiveX control runs again. Problem is that some web users may never click on it in the first place. So, I am trying to avoid causing the yellow bar to appear in the first place.

I was wondering if a few people could test this link on IE 7 (Vista/XP) to see if the browser crashes, or if any yellow alert bars pop up, etc...

Thanks,

   Eric
