Re: QuickTime & Java Plugin Detection for IE 7

http://www.pinlady.net/test/PluginDetect.htm

Thanks,

   Eric

I decided to create a test page for each plugin type instead of detecting all plugins on one page. This way it will be easier to detect if there are any bugs in detecting a given plugin.

There is no way to avoid the initial information security bar for DevalVR, since it is not a pre-approved ActiveX control for IE7.

However, plugins such as Java/QuickTime/Flash/Shockwave/WinMediaPlayer are pre-approved. It should be possible to detect them without causing any security alert (I hope).
