VRs on iPod Touch

Following up on an earlier thread about VRs on an iPhone. I recently got an iPod Touch almost solely because it now has the ability to view VRs. I am more than impressed with the PangeaVR app. I actually enjoy viewing panos more on the iPod than on my "big" computer. Anyway amazingly beautiful app that does an incredible job. (Of course another reason is that Apple is giving iPods away with any education computer purchase. Good timing for my daughter to be going to college and needing a laptop!!)
My main question is this. Does anyone know of a way (without hacking) to be able to store and view VRs on the iPod without having to be connected to WiFi?? I mean the PangeaVR viewer is great but you do need to be "connected". I envision being able to show people ANYwhere, whether or not WiFi is available, my panos on the iPod. I think we all would like that. I have talked to Brian Greenstone about it, but he seemed a little hesitant in going into any details about if this can happen. I am guessing because Apple keeps a tight rein on these apps, I could be wrong? He seemed to imply that if you can get the files in the iPod you could access them with the right file paths but I have no way of knowing what those paths would be! : (
Any ideas??
