Can cubeworld be also done on ipod touch to read it locally? any links
to where we can read about it?

CubeWorld *only* reads local files. It also only works with pre-2.0 iPhones at the moment, although that may change at some point. You can see info and track links from here: http://www.cubeworld.org/

I tried downgrading my iPhone to 1.1.4 last night. Oh boy.
I followed what seemed to be the best instructions (http://dailyapps.net/2008/07/hack-attack-downgrade-iphone-2g-from-20-to-114-and-unlock-it/) but the process didn't go entirely smoothly. I ended up with an iPhone that couldn't anything but scroll BSD text except when it went into brick-like DFU mode. Fortunately I eventually managed to restore it to 2.0, but that was only because I kept one Mac 'clean' and with the previous 2.0 backup ready to restore from. Even then it took two lengthy attempts.

I may try again when I get a 3G model to take its place and I have a few hours free, but I'm hoping that either a 2.0-compatible CubeWorld or PangeaVR with local file access will come along first!
