It would be good of Apple to give us a heads up in this climate of uncertainty - but given Apple's track record (along with virtually all other large companies) this does not seem to be very likely.

However I have no problem with object movies (QT v7.5; Safari v3.1.2). Here is the first object movie I ever saw - from 1994 - created by Jarid Johnson:

Plays fine on my set-up (though the "default view" is incorrect).

I see Flash as a savior if it comes to that - if Apple drops QTVR there wouldn't be much of a quality alternative without it.

For now all my QT authoring keeps humming along - at least another 18 months - which in computer years is a long time; could change tomorrow ;->
