RE: QuickPan Professional Review...

Hi Jim

Very good review, just a quick note as this has the same problems as most reviews that come out of America, its only in imperial, you’re the only country that still uses the out dated Imperial system, and all your measurements are in Imperial, with no option of Metric (except the weight).

I’m lucky, when I went through school, I was taught both metric and imperial as England was on the change over then, but most people here younger or equal to me in age, don’t even know how long a yard is or what 3 foot looks like (I’m only 31 by the way). Never mind Europe who has never had the Imperial system.

Madness though isn’t it, look at Tyre sizes, 185/40/16

185 is millimetres across the tread

40 is the percent of the width in tyre wall height

16 is inches of the rim size

So in one measurement we have metric, imperial and percent!

In Europe it is now illegal to sell anything (apart from land in acres or milk and beer in pints) in imperial, it has to be only in Metric

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/1269043.stm

This is a guy who lived only a few streets away from me and made a landmark case in the UK by loosing a court battle when he sold a bunch of bananas in metric and imperial, rather than just metric.

All madness, but thought I better point it out for future work as it is only going to get more and more metric J

Good review though

Regards

Ian
