Conferences

I've got some connections with Physics Conferences (experimental/theoretical particle physics, String Theory), & they have acknowledged my work. I shot some QTVR panos (see below). There is an invite by a certain tech-savvy theoretical physics institute Re: Technology, so you might want to attend or give a talk. Email me privately for details.

Last year, I assisted the Strings '07 conference to get their talks (uploaded same-hour via QTSS) on a "Strings '07" iTunes video-podcast:

All I did was convert their QT movies to iPod compatible .mp4, & uploaded them to Blip.tv

You can find them by doing a search in iTunes store on "string theory", "theoretical physics", etc.

I was at SUSY '06 (Supersymmetry & Fundamental Interactions, in preparation for the LHC/Large Hadron Collider) conference a year ago:

The followup conference (SUSY '07 in Karlsruhe/Germany) happened back in July, & I was looking for some QTVR pano shooters to do it. I didn't get a response from the conference organizers. I did *remotely* help the Strings '07 conference (Madrid/Spain) by transcoding their QTSS produced conference videos (uploaded promptly after the talks).

"A better informed public is more likely to understand/fund science"

There is a crisis in Science Funding worldwide (especially USA), so these visual technologies (iPod videos, QTVR panos) can be potentially useful.

I had some favorable feedback & post-conference email interactions (especially from Strings '07). There is some potential here possibly for Science conferences (& any conference).
