| As a background observer and not actively participating in the list, I hope my comment is appropriate here....I am just trying to learn passively, if you will, so I might come up to speed in so I may participate actively soon....
....but the issue of commercial gain in mostly educational and non-commercial settings sets me off....and I would like to now speak up and say that I too like hearing about the product, BUT it is for commercial gain and feel very strongly that Willi is right....a note with reference to the site is sufficient. I feel very strongly (again for what my two cents is worth as not actively contributing to the list, in general) that promoting a commercial product is inappropriate here.

I can and I will never stop you from bringing unquestionably welcome information, but I will keep on writing that the frequency of your newsfeed was too much for ME. Just a short note with a link to your website would be fine. for me.
(Just try to imagine what happens if there would be 3 or more programmers feeding their update notes regarding flash players).
My opinion: you have to find the balance between advertising for your commercial interests and the welcome information of the pano community by free list services.
