Re: Out of the mirror...

Remi,

What you have probably remembered is Eric Rougier's method:
http://www.panoguide.com/forums/tipsntricks/3914/

I MO the process that is proposed by Rodolpho could work. The technical requirement for a perfect result are difficult to meet though:
The ideal location of the shooting should be behind the mirror at a place that is symmetrical to were you shot the fist photograph...
I have used this way in a scaled down case here:
http://michel.thoby.free.fr/Scholtes/Making-of.html
If the opposite wall and the subjects are far enough from the mirror, you might shoot by moving as close as possible to the mirror and thus approach the ideal conditions the best you can.

Hope that helps. Bonne chance.

Hi Willy and Rodolpho,

Willy :
In my case, the mirror covers the wall from floor to ceiling, and I have to
shoot from the center. No way to escape from being in the picture...

Rodolpho :
As far as I understand from your answer, it would mean I have to copy the
picture of the opposite side into the mirror.
Hmm... seems like I have to reverse the image and adjust the size to fit with
the rest of the image in the mirror.

Is that it?

Thanks to both of you for your help.

Remi

Selon Willy Kaemena <email@hidden>:

It depends on the situation

here an example

I was standing in the hallway holding a pole into the room, the cam
with pole were visible in the mirror

Hi all,

I'd like to shoot a place where one wall is a complete mirror.
How do I operate to get the picture without my equipment on it. I
think I
remember something like taking two pictures at different
angles...but I cannot
remember the whole process to get some clean result.

Thanks in advance for your help.
