Unable to communicate

I have Apple Remote Desktop 1.2 installed on a G4 PowerMac, 933 Mhz, OS
10.3.4 Server on a gig ethernet network. It's a clean install. When I
try to perform the Copy Items or Install Package function, an error
message appears "Unable to communicate with 'computer'. The file
transfer has been canceled." There's only one user and that's the
administrator. The server is using DHCP, and I'm trying to think of
anything else that might matter to mention.

Has anyone anywhere even remotely (no pun intended) even so much as
heard through a friend of a friend of a friend of something like this?
Just today I tried completely uninstalling ARD and reinstalling to no
avail. Could be the fact that I didn't successfully uninstall it because
my custom lists were still there, but this server is still not able to
copy files to other computers.

Thanks,

kim russell
