It's a technical list only available in english, with an english subject
line, and english text quoted quoting. The only thing in spanish is the
reply text leadin. I have higher expectations of the ability of the
subscribers to a tech list to be able to grok proper procedures for a list
that is rather convoluted to find and get on to in the first place.
I also find that while the US is rather stupid in how proud it is that only
learning english is encouraged in schools, most (read "damned near all the
ones with any kind of tech base), other countries are very sensible, and not
only encourage, but many even mandate bi- and trilingualism. So, my
assumption that people NOT from the US speak multiple languages is far more
often correct than not.
It's only when I'm speaking to U.S. Natives that I have to assume a single
language, and probably a poor vocabulary in the one language the do speak.
