Update: Re: Launching ARD

As a couple others have mentioned, the startup delay I was experiencing (and they as well) was related to DNS configuration. Our DNS boxes had a couple issues, but the primary one in a nutshell was where WINS was being queried for the lookup which it should not have been.

I suggest those that are also having the startup delay look into this as I'd bet it's not a corrupt pref file in the majority of cases.

And it's DNS related, I'm pretty sure. Mr. DeTroye reminded me to check the network out, which I thought would be related but didn't want to spend the time digging, but now I do...
