A quick query - We have purchased ARD 2 and I wish to make use of it across
our school to gain it's benefits with around 50 OS X machines however, we
also have a further 25 or so machines running OS 8.6 / 9. I understand that
RD 2 will not work with non OS X clients. Has anyone any experience of
running ARD 1.2 admin (our current version of remote desktop) on the same
admin machine as they have v2.x on?
The only way to do this is to have two separate OSX installs on the
same machine. You'll have to partition the disk into 2 partitions
and install OSX on both. Then install one version of ARD on each.
You'll of course have to reboot anytime you want to switch ARD versions.
