I'm new to ARD (but used ANAT extensively until 3 years ago).
Have about 500 machines, most of which have been imaged with various 10.2.x
and 10.3.x. All of these images have ARD client enabled in one account on
the machine (the account belonging to the IT dept has
All these images also have another account that is almost universally
unused, and we would like to remove it automagically through the wonders of
ARD.
Various people have written adduser (and rmuser) scripts. One is here:
Maybe others on the list have more direct experience with this kind of script.
## Disclaimer! I have NOT used this script. I had a quick look at
it, and it looks right.
You'd need to modify this script to do some error checking, and
possibly not ask any questions. Then either:
1. Copy the script to all the computers
2. Run it
OR
1. Make a package that runs this script but doesn't actually
install anything.
2. Install the package.
I know that's short; if I need to elaborate, please respond.
