Did we decide that there was a final fix for workstations that
display "2.1 (old version)" as the current status? I've tried to
upgrade client software again on one particular machine (says
successful), run disk warrior on it, remove it from my master list and
re-add it, repair permissions, etc. Even now, this one won't let me
run installers or anything because I'm "not authorized" though I know
this is incorrect.
Ideas? If it's in the archives, just pat me on the head and I'll go
check when I'm not running around with my head cut off...

I solved this problem on my computer by doing the following :
- Delete the "2.1 (old version)" machines from the master list (and
from any other list you might have in ARD).
- QUIT ARD. If you don't quit ARD, it won't work.
- Re-open ARD and add the machines again.
It worked for me (but ONLY if I quit ARD), hope it will work on your
computer.
