| I am trying to connect to my home computer from a remote location in order to copy some files while I'm away. My G4 at home running 10.3.9, ARD client updated to 3. Admin computer is a TiBook running 10.4.6, ARD 3. I can connect to my computer at home locally and copy files no problem. When I go to a remote location - Apple Store, I can connect to my G4, share and control screen but I can't copy files. Can some one explain to me what might be happening. I have opened the ports 3283 and 5900 for both UDP and TCP on my d-link DI-624. If I can see macmanorserver.dnsalias.com and control screen, why can't I copy files? When attempting to drag and drop, I get a green + sign on my desktop. I get a dialog that asks if I want to accept, which I do, and as it attempts, I get a failed, task not supported in the history. Someone please help as I need to make this work for a client next week! One more thing - what is the "hostname" of a G4? Is it in the sharing pane where your computer is labeled like Craig Bunch's G4? Thanks to all in advance Craig Bunch |
