Once again, my thanks for all the helpful replies.
And once again, I have to say, being so wet behind the ears, I will
have
to do a lot more homework before I attempt even making a simple
connection with (e.g. Chicken of the VNC).
{SNIPPED}
However, I'm (more or less) determined to give a VNC implementation a
try, and will likely be back with more questions at some point in the
future.
Here's one last dumb one for now...
I don't yet have Leopard, so don't have access to Screen Sharing.
Would
it be possible to test Chicken of the VNC over a local Airport network
between two Macs?
Thanks.
Peter B.
Peter,
Yes, but the it does not necessarily have to be between two MACs nor
limited to the LAN. VNC is a cross platform solution, available on
just about every main stream OS available, even Windows.

How do you spell cooperation? Pessimists use
each other, but optimists help each other.
Collaboration feeds your spirit, while
competition only stokes your ego. You'll
find the best way to get along.
