Re: Remote-desktop Digest, Vol 6, Issue 145



I have one machine that is running 3.3.1 that is crashing all the time since updating, other computer running 3.2.2 still rock solid.  I thought it was just me until reading this.

I’ve had frequent (daily?) problems with version 3.x through all 3.x updates.   ARD crashing, reports failing, task server not working, clients showing up offline/grey when they are online.   Some bugs I’ve experienced have been resolved but I think they are primarily GUI based.

If I want to simply control/observe it works pretty well, with restarts sometimes necessary, but everything else is very problematic when attempting to run a task on a larger number of clients.

We have 8 licensed copies and most of our help desk staff complain about it to me like it’s my fault.  :)

Has anyone else experienced a high number of crashes when using ARD 3.3 or 3.3.1?  It seems to want to hang and /or crash multiple times now daily on me and my staff.  We have also reinstalled, wiped all plists, recreated our machines, etc but to no avail..
