So I'm actually rebuilding my list on another computer and I'm having the same results. Try to get info on a computer and the user name and password field is blank and I am unable to edit the user name and password field. Even if I double click it I cant edit it. However if I click the Observe button on the top left I do get a user name and password field that I can edit.

I am able to click on that old one that is still in the "All Computers" list and using Command I, I can change the user name and password and gain control of the new one.
