Re: Service name list?

Hi Rui,

I'm planning on releasing a Technical Q&A which will document the service types being used by Apple products, and we've started to maintain an official list at the following address...

<http://www.dns-sd.org/ServiceNames.html>

Hopefully, over time this page will contain the complete list of known service types. If anyone is using a Rendezvous service type which is not registered with IANA, please follow the instructions at the top of the ServiceNames document. Thanks.

Hello there.

(Gosh, it's been a while since I last posted here)

I've been fiddling with Rendezvous in my spare time, and I've compiled a short HOWTO on how to advertise Linux services using mDNSResponderPosix (http://the.taoofmac.com/space/HOWTO/ Enable Rendezvous on Fedora Linux). However, I've been trying to compile some sort of comprehensive reference of services that use Rendezvous and the data advertised by those services, and came up with very little.

Is there such thing as a comprehensive list of Rendezvous-enabled services and/or interest in maintaining one?

Thanks,

Rui Carmo
