Hi, all. I am the proverbial newbie -- I just heard about and
installed the Windows Rendezvous software yesterday.
My goal was to be able to provide print support on my XP development
machine for a USB printing which is currently attached to an iMac
running Panther. (Actually, I'm a Mac developer who is forced to also
ship Windows versions of my products...)
I installed the Rendezvous software on the XP machine (apparently
successfully). Rebooted. Ran Rendezvous Printer Wizard to set up
access to the printer I want to use. In the Wizard's "Shared Printers"
box, it says "No Rendezvous Printes are available". Print sharing from
the iMac to another Panther machine works flawlessly.
Is this supposed to work? Or are my expectations unrealistic? If it is
supposed to work, then can anyone offer clues of what I should do to
get it to work? (or what additional information you might need to help
me?)
Cheers,
