Hi Richard!!

  To add to what Marc has written, Rendezvous also, has to be
  supported by the printer that you are using.

  It is not inherently supported by any printer attached to and
  shared from a Mac.

  Also, FYI, I was able to successfully connect to
 'HP Laserjet 4200' from a Windows XP  machine with
 rendezvous installed.
