How do you install ExplorerPlugin.dll under Windows' IE and use the

What version of Windows are you using? I had a problem with Windows
2000 Pro and Windows 2000 Advanced Server where I would get an error
like this:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7001
Date: 7/13/2004
Time: 1:46:29 AM
User: N/A
Computer: XEON12
Description:
The Apple mDNSResponder service depends on the Windows Management
Instrumentation service which failed to start because of the following
error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely
fashion.
How I fixed this was dropped a shortcut of mDNSResponder into the
start-up folder and now its starts regardless. The reason I asked you
what OS you are running is because I had the same problem with the
Explorer plugin and that was all I needed to do.
Does Panther's ftp server advertise itself via Rendezvous by default?
Or are
there additional configuration steps?
It should show up automatically, if you follow the step I just said it
should show up. It also might be a problem with your firewall. If you
use a BSD or Linux box and IPTables for a firewall you have to open up
the port that Rendezvous uses , if you are running Windows XP Service
Pack 2 RC2, list mDNSResponder as an exception in the Windows Firewall.
Thanks in advance,
