All,
There will be a BOF meeting on Zero Configuration Networking at the
upcoming LinuxWorld Expo in San Francisco. A BOF, or Birds-Of-a-Feather
meeting, is an informal gathering of conference attendees to discuss
specific topics in a more interactive way than is typically possible
during a regular conference session.
The Zeroconf BOF will be held on Tuesday, August 3rd at 5:30 PM.
We'll start off with some Lightning Talks by Apple's Rendezvous Chief
Architect Stuart Cheshire and Scott Herscher, author of Howl. They will
briefly discuss on the principles and protocols of Zeroconf. We hope to
also have some updates on the projects out there that use or implement
Zero Configuration technology, and a discussion on how to use this cool
technology to take the pain out of networking your applications.
As usual with BOFs, participant contribution is essential, so if you
want to discuss anything related to Zeroconf or Rendezvous, feel free
to bring it up or reply back to me. Same holds if you'd like to give a
product update, or would like to have an update read at the meeting:
mail me and I'll see if we can squeeze that in.
You can access the BOF with any LinuxWorld Conference and Expo badge,
including the Exhibits Only package. If you haven't already, you can
register at: http://www.linuxworldexpo.com/live/12/register
Hope to see you there!
Regards,
Sander
