Hmm. I wonder if you have a bug in your include files? (Which would indicate an inconsistent set of files in /usr/include.)

What do you get when you do the following:

cat > test.c
#include <sys/types.h>
^D

cc -c test.c

(This compiled without error on my Debian-ppc system.)

Compiled without error for me.

Thinks that it's a problem in the order of the : #include
