I just figured this out yesterday myself. You should not be using the
58.8 distribution,
you should be pulling code from CVS.
It would be nice if the page made it clear that 58.8 was lightyears
behind
the current state, and isn't something anyone but an embedded
programmer
would want to use.
The text on the Darwin page pretty much says that already...
mDNSResponder-58.8 is the latest stable version. mDNSResponder CVS
contains all the new good stuff, but it's also under development, so
from time to time it contains bugs.
We'll update the mDNSResponder tar file after the Tiger version of
mDNSResponder goes GM.
