Re: Wide area rendezvous with posix daemon

hi all hy jacub,

regarding to this i like to explain what i like to do.

i want to install the <http://www.temme.net/sander/mod_zeroconf/> on my
machine : Apache/2.0.52 (Unix) PHP/4.3.9 DAV/2 Server at http://let.dyndns.tv Port 8080
i read there is a need for Howl ( is a cross-platform implementation of Zeroconf networking.
Zeroconf brings a new ease of use to IP networking.)

Do i realy need howl on a mac with the "mod_zeroconf"Apache 2.0 module?
Its seems quite confusing to me .
I want to be able to advertise a service over an wide area network.

regards
marc

Thanks for this tip, it allows do to 'right thing' in almost all cases without
any configuration. Updated patch can read public IP from file. If it cannot
be parsed as IP, it will be treated as interface name - useful for dynamic
ip.
