Hello all,

 

Does anyone know how to record voice from the microphone in a format other than caf? I am trying to modify the SpeakHere example, tuning the parameters of the AudioFormat object, for example:

                        audioFormat.mSampleRate                               = 44100.00;

                        audioFormat.mFormatID                                    = kAudioFormatLinearPCM;

                        audioFormat.mFormatFlags                   = kAudioFormatFlagIsSignedInteger | kAudioFormatFlagIsPacked;

                       

There are IDs for AMR, MPEG 2 formats, however modifying these parameters result in a corrupt file. Anyone knows how these values can be twitched?

 

Also, a way  to convert audio files from one format to another would be enough. You can find some info here:

But it seems to be valid only for Mac OS, not iPhone OS.
