Hi Alon, The person who reported the problem was me. The solution was to add a NETWORK section to your manifest file that contains the paths of the server-side scripts that handle the AJAX requests. For example, your manifest would look something like this: CACHE MANIFEST /js/my-ajax-library.js NETWORK: /cgi-bin/my-ajax-call-handler.cgi Jamie From: email@hidden To: email@hidden Date: Tue, 28 Jul 2009 11:37:31 -0400 CC: Subject: calling AJAX from locally cached page Can someone refresh my memory on this?
I know that that we can use manifest files to locally cache pages. However, I vaguely recall someone posting on this forum that they were unable to make an AJAX call using XMLHTTPRequest from a locally cached page. Is that right? I also (vaguely) remember that somebody had a work around for this issue. Does anyone remember this one?
