Re: Apple lays of SciTech marketing manager

Hello Stephen and Ernest,

Thanks for your messages on this subject. You can understand the frustration of some members of this list who see Mac OS X and related products as the amazing things they are, so the disappearance of the SciTech-focused web site, and now this news, was somewhat disconcerting. I can understand not commenting on internal personnel matters, but it is good to know there is still a concerted focus on these markets.

Regards,

Greetings from Apple Federal, my first post to this list. As Ernie says, we're reluctant to comment on internal matters for obvious reasons, but a good news story is that we've hired John Martellaro (jm AT apple.com) to handle the FFRDCs (Federally Funded Research & Development Centers). For those of you know know John, he brings a wealth of scientific knowledge & many, many years of technical experience to helping our growing scientific markets, albeit more focused in government in this specific case.

Yours Aye, Stephen
