I don't know quite where it came from, but I have a
/usr/local/bin/ps2pdf
command line program on my machine. I use it (on Linux) all the time
to
convert my postscript documents to the more portable PDF format.
Check if
you have the same.
I know that's not exactly what you asked for, but since discovering
that
utility, I never need postscript viewers any more.
