Fink is (dramatic pause): OF DUBIOUS USEFULNESS to software developers
who wish to distribute their software to other machines.
I disagree since I used fink for the purpose. When OS X first hit the
street, I needed to compile and test a LARGE software library in
FORTRAN for use by researchers. Fink quickly provided me with a working
G77 compatible with Linux G77 code.
I think we owe a thanks to the fink guys and gals.
As always,
Ed Wright
