I disagree since I used fink for the purpose. When OS X first hit the street, I needed to compile and test a LARGE software library in FORTRAN for use by researchers. Fink quickly provided me with a working G77 compatible with Linux G77 code.


I think we owe a thanks to the fink guys and gals.
