If this is a problem, the best long term plan may be to either wait
until Apple fixes it in a future support update or use the other
approach that Jeff suggested.
We used the other one because it seemed safer and so far (in testing
a production build) all of the associated previous anomalies with the
build are not exhibited. It was funny the way the interaction
exhibited itself, it wasn't at all obvious.
Do not post admin requests to the list. They will be ignored.
