If you're willing to use some C++ (i.e., Objective-C++) then I do have a good example. The new Eigen library is LGPL and offers excellent performance through template meta-programming.

Intel MKL and, of course, Accelerate also have great performance and can be used commercially. There's lots on BLAS/LAPACK in Accelerate, including sample code:
