[apple scitech] [ANN] - Lion & Xcode 4.1 Compatibility Package for Absoft Pro Fortran v11.1

NEW - FREE Apple Lion and Xcode 4.1 Compatibility Package
                            for Absoft Pro Fortran v11.1

20 July 2011 - Absoft Corporation today announced the immediate availability of an Apple Lion Compatibility Package for users of Absoft Pro Fortran v11.1. The compatibility package for Apple’s new Lion OS is included as a component of a new Absoft service pack v11.1.3 which becomes available today. The service pack available free for existing customers of Absoft Pro Fortran v11.1 for Mac OS/Intel.

The Lion Compatibility Package for Pro Fortran v11.1 provides compatibility with the Xcode 4.1 toolset, including clang and LLVM and Apple’s new 10.7 SDK. Additionally, Absoft’s Fx3 graphical debugger has been enhanced for use on Lion. Other modifications for Lion have been made as well.

Existing Absoft Pro Fortran v11.1.1 customers can download service pack v11.1.3 from the Absoft site at: http://www.absoft.com/download/downloads.html

The service pack is compatible only with Pro Fortran v11.1 for Mac OS/Intel.  All new and update copies of Absoft Pro Fortran v11.1 for Mac OS shipped as of July 20, 2011 will include the service pack. Customers using older versions of Pro Fortran for Mac OS/Intel, running Lion, will want to upgrade to the new v11.1.3.
