Dear list users,

Does anyone know how to prevent spotlight to index large text file produced on very regular basis ? Some NLP tools I'm using (like parsers and taggers) produce very large text data file (.mrg and .parsed) and spotlight keeps indexing them and it seems to be a very heavy task for spotlight. So far, I've configured it to not index some directories but it's not very convenient in the long term (I'd like to still be able to search through some other data (like logs, readme, etc...) inside those directories.

sorry if this has been asked before but I can't find any references to that (some related questions have been asked in the apple support mailing around 2006 but none usefull answers)
