I apologize if this is not the correct forum for such a message, but I
cannot find anywhere else on the planet with help for the DSS...
I have the DSS server v4.0 installed and running fine. I can point the
QuickTime player at
rtsp://<myserver>/sample_300kbit.mov and it plays back fine.
However, I cannot get *any* client to play the sample.mp3 in the same
media directory. I have tried Quicktime, WinAmp and Realplayer, and all
of them say the file is a unrecognized format. I even tried another MP3
in the hopes that the sample.mp3 was corrupt, but no go.
I thought DSS was supposed to be able to stream MP3 files? If it is,
why can't I get it to work? What is the secret?
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
