I posted this question a month or two ago, but unfortunately
still have been unable to come up with a solution.
DDS as it stands only allows one mount point from which to place
the movies you want to stream, however we would like to be able
to specify several locations for DDS to look for movies, like as
is possible in Real server for example.
Last time i posted, 2 solutions were suggested:-
(1) Put symbolic links in the mount directory to the movies
(2) Run different instances of DDS with diffrent mount points.
Unforutnately, option (1) is not possible because we are running
the windows version of DDS and windows doesn't have symbolic links.
Option (2) would not be feasible for our available resources.
So I was thinking of modifiying the DDS source to implement this
facility. I would be very very grateful if anybody could give me
pointers as to where to start looking in the source?
