Re: Congestion Control

When running over TCP, the underlying OS's TCP congestion control takes over. When running over UDP QTSS has it's own form of congestion control.

Hi,
I have a question about DSS's implementation. I'm running DSS in Linux and
use MPEG4IP's (another opern source project) gmp4player as the client for
streaming videos. One of the options is to run "RTP over RTSP". As I
understand from the RTP's RFC that option enables you to run RTP on top of
TCP. Does anybody know if, when running over RTSP, DSS uses the underlying
OS's TCP congestion control algorithms or if implements it's own
congestion controls?

Thanks,
