I'm looking for a video encoding solution for Linux. Does anybody have any suggestions for a good open source solution for encoding movies to be used with the quicktime server. 

I'm really looking for an open sorce replacement for something like sorenson squeeze or Media Cleaner pro.

We export quicktime files from our avid system as qt files and then compress then using media cleaner pro...

Any help would be great....
