Hi Billy,
I am indeed using QuickTime Player V6 as the RTSP/RTP client. The only thing
is QuickTime Broadcaster doesn't support Windows yet. That's why I am using
http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/jmf/ Sun's JMF to act as a RTP
transmitter (i.e. feeding rtp packets to DSS which act as a reflector). It
seems to me the problem only happen in the beginning of broadcast and doesn't
happen afterwards. The DSS is installed in C:\ but the source code is compiled
on D:\
Thanks for your help!

Hi Aaron, some quick questions:
1. Have you seen this problem happen if you are only using QuickTime
Player as your
RTSP/RTP client?
2. What JMF (Java media framework) client were you using? Is it
publicly available, or
something you are developing privately?
3. Does the problem happen immediately (ie. on demand) when
connecting, or after some
period of time, or only when tearing down your RTSP/RTP client
session?
4. I notice you're running your DSS source off drive d:\. Did you
make all the changes in the
streamingserver.xml file to switch from c: to d: and use the right
paths? I ask this since
there are many many dependencies in the Win32 source of Darwin
Streaming Server
(and the Perl streaming web admin server) where it expects the
paths to be
c:\Program Files\Darwin Streaming Server\
Thanks for your input, and I've forwarded your mail to QTSS Engineering.
