Thread-topic: Convert mpeg movies to hinted movies
I am having the same problem, but I am re-encoding mp1 to mp4 an losing sound. So, as per your answer below: There is no solution in QT pro to retain sound from mp1 to mp4?

Make sure that you are simply using "Movie to Hinted Movie" when
exporting in QT Pro
an MPEG-1 file to be a hinted QuickTime movie. Otherwise if you are
re-encoding
the file from MPEG-1 (muxed) to some other codec then that might
explain why
were losing the sound.
